Nokia E61i Review: Big Bang For The Buck – Really

Nokia has unveiled three new additions to its E series of business-centric smart phones at the 3GSM World Congress a while back. As with all of Nokia’s cell phones and smart phones, the U.S. availability of the models was up in the air, but we just got our hands on one today. It’s an upgrade to the Nokia E61/Nokia E62, but don’t expect any revolutionary changes. Instead, you get some minor design improvements and the addition of a camera as well as Nokia’s Team Office business application. Disappointingly, support for our 3G networks was not added and unlike the E62, the Nokia E61i doesn’t have the backing of a U.S. carrier so you’ll pay around $400 for an unlocked version of the phone. That said, business users will be well served by the solid performance of the E61i’s messaging and productivity capabilities.

Prince of Persia 4 Hands On: “Prince of Persia 4 Aims To Be Better”

French Correspondent for WhatIfGaming Jeanne Marie is standing by live in Paris at his hotel from the UBIDAYS 08 event, and has provided us some juicy details for the new Prince of Persia 4 after his own lucky hands on with the game.

Here’s what he has to say as a fan of the prince himself:

Throughout the times I’ve played Sands of Time over and over again, and it’s been incredible in terms of being that game to really break the barriers of action and allow for a perspective of time that abnegates from something more than just normal. With Prince of Persia 4, there’s definitely some increased themes between the righteousness of man and the power of a corrupt force that we saw back in Warrior Within.

Taken aback by a new art direction, Ubisoft’s latest addition into the middle eastern landscapes describes the virilities of the scope of the context with the upbringing of something more reminiscent of nothing short from giving. The gameplay was barely covered in the demo played, but enough so to see that the core aspects have landed back into an evolutionary measure for the latest journey of a younger, more vibrant prince with more integral properties, such as his cohort Elika. The Prince gets lost in a sandstorm and ends up in an oasis gone wrong in which Ahriman, the game’s villain, breaks free from prison and begins infecting the outside world with corruption and chaos. In the oasis, however, is where the Prince meets Elika, one of the last remaining Ahuras who is the guardians of Ahriman’s prison and hence takes it as her duty to make amends.

She’s pretty smart for the most part, and definitely kicks up the action unlike previous AI that Ubisoft is known for not so brilliant AI. She can guard him usually, and you can order her around with the Elika button, which is a great + but can get annoying time to time when it’s forced that you have to use her to get past some things. Almost seems like the aspect is forced on the environment rather than the other way around.

The game is quoted by the producer Ben Mates to aim in becoming “better than the rest.” With our short hands on, we weren’t exactly convinced, as there are still many things that will be changed and some that need vital touch ups. As far as the sun rises, we’ll take a look as the days go on.

Games As Popular TV

as popular as tv

Many people aged between 16 to 49 spend nearly as much time playing the likes of Gta 4 and Pro evo soccer 2008 as they do watching television or socialising with family and going out with friends, According to new research from the Interactive Software Federation of Europe (ISFE).

Show Me The Change: Intel Q9300 Review

York. Field. Yorkfield. The Intel Core 2 Quad Q9300 processor is the sexy, sleek, new 45nm quad-core ‘Yorkfield’ termed processor. It is also the entry level 45nm quad-core processor, which is followed in towards a low price point. Even though it’s a bit pricey at ~$300, the Intel Core 2 Quad Q9300 puts a race compared to the $240 AMD Phenom 9850 quad-core processor. The Intel Core 2 Quad Q9300 Processor is everywhere. No, seriously. Take a look. There’s bundles this, bundles that…DDR2 this with that, that OCZ with this that this this that. You get the idea. Good. So, what’s a person like you to do in such a haze like this? Read our review, of course! Intel’s latest addition to the Core 2 Quad family built using Intel’s 45nm technology gives that hafnium-infused circuitry the electron pumping power it’s always been seeking since 65nm.

The Yorkfield processor is efficient and doesn’t give headaches when it comes time to boot up. We can see our the processor is identified at 2.50 GHz along with a 1333MHz FSB and 6MB L2 cache (12MB shared). At first look, the Intel Core 2 Quad Q9300 is a decent overclocker, with a 7.5 multiplier (333MHz FSB x 7.5 multiplier = 2.5GHz). Even if it’s low, the FSB will have to be increased beyond 450MHz to break the 3.5GHz mark. Prep the liquid cooling. Now there are 2 ways of looking at this. If you have a dilapidated motherboard combined with a great processor such as this one, it needs FSB speeds above 450MHz that can give the system a good huff of smoke. If you increase the FSB to 400MHz that will make the CPU 3.0GHz, which is more than enough for common applications. But that’s yet to be seen.

    MGS 5 A Reality

Kojima has confirmed that MGS4 isn’t the last people will see of the series. Once thought to be the final outcome to the series, MGS4 will have a successor with or without snake.

Kojima noted that the Kojima Productions staff is taking time off now that MGS4 has gone gold, but proudly slip in

We have to start thinking about MGS5. Snake’s story is finished with MGS4, however.

Okay, so Snake’s dead which leaves us going will it actually be MGS5? Well, he was probably saying it as word of mouth, but the actual “Solid” series will continue, but whether “5″ will be in there remains a mystery.

I’d like to leave the producer role to another person. I want the new MGS to be made by a young person. If it has action involving sneaking missions, I believe it’s okay whatever direction it takes.

If you think that MGS4 will be the best of the series, think again. Like the great guy he is, he’s constantly seeing what he can improve on at the very least.

I thought that there was no longer a need to worry about space said Kojima, reflecting on his thinking at the time of the announcement in Spain. At the time of CD-ROM, it was the same — I was happy at no longer needing to worry about space.

BioShock PS3 confirmed; Not A Port

I told you all numerous times it would happen, and I care to gloat on it since I said it ever since last year at another publication. BioShock is officially bound for the PlayStation 3.

“We can confirm that BioShock will be headed to the PlayStation 3 as not a port” a representative for 2K Games told us directly. Apparently, the game will have major graphical overhauls, and EXTRA content to prepare PS3 owners for BioShock 2 on the PS3.

    Embrace!
