Dear WhatIfGaming: Episode 1

We have been getting constant reminders by some of you extraordinary people about why we have not updated the site in a while (has been over a few days excluding this past weekend). It is necessary for the WhatIfGaming team to currently switch to a weekly format as our small staff is in high demand by publishers, film corporations, and what not for coverage of their respective events. Even though we have numerous secret agents unlisted in our midsts, a lot of these kind people are requesting our audience specifically (Yours truly, Stuart, David, Jacob), and so we have to announce a temporary time-change in terms of publishing.

Thank you for your cooperation and e-mails which we do read.

-WhatIfGaming Team

Wheelman Review – Diesel Up, Fuel Down, Action Rampant

Wheelman Review

Games are becoming more like Hollywood each day, but are designed by various techniques that the player can control to experience the full action. Some games can function in various forms and can be therapeutic, artistic, or even overall entertaining with a combination of both. While mission variety is superb, the mission difficulties can border on too simplistic with Wheelman. Either way, gameplay is carried out terrifically for this driver action. Tigon Studios flagstones Hollywood action with a blockbuster storyline of the crossfire’s of corruption featuring hot quasi-nerd Vin Diesel along with unseen high stakes driving thrill to create an enticing Wheelman with a gameplay aspect that is unique with seamless divide between on-foot action and driving.

Fallout 3: The Pitt Review – Refined Beauty In A Smaller World

Fallout 3: The Pitt Review - Refined Beauty In A Smaller World

Fallout 3 made a tremendous impression for RPG lovers everywhere who were fans of Bethesda Softworks, creators of the famous Elder Scrolls RPG franchise. With the expanded post-apocalyptic world, players were allowed to see the aftermath of certain ideologies that led the world to a gloomy fate of nothing but grey and brown piles of rock and dirt. With such expansive and enjoyable gameplay, Bethesda did not stop there and released Fallout 3: Operation Anchorage DLC. Finally, the 2nd DLC has arrived with The Pitt, and it’s a tremendous package of fun that is worth every penny in the small but wide world of Pennsylvania (PA).

Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars Review – No Translation

Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars Review

Chinatown Wars seems like a return to Grand Theft Auto series’ 2D beginnings, but it’s far from that. The action is viewed from a top-down perspective, and the action from the actual previous games on consoles translates perfectly well. Chinatown Wars has a lot of similarity with GTA IV than it does with earlier games, and improves on the formula that made those games so successful with great features, incredible storyline, competitive multiplayer, and great minigames.

Resident Evil 5 Review: The Road To Paradise Is Kijuju

Resident Evil 5 Review

Resident Evil 5 is quite possibly the most atmospheric horror game to debut in 2009, and it definitely will not be easy to achieve a level of this quality for other horror titles soon to come out. It is now over more than a decade after the Mansion Incident, the horror of Raccoon City, Jill Valentine, and the turbulent Umbrella Corporation was put down. Umbrella Corporation committed terrible experiments, the effects of which still unfortunately continue in a grisly tale. It all begins in Africa where the local population has been infected with the biological onsets of a new virus. The horror still loiters in the country of Mother Earth – the birthplace of life, and the response is the Bioterrorism Security Assessment Alliance (B.S.A.A.). This government formed organization dispatches a charismatic and deeply connected individual familiar to outbreaks themselves for investigation: Chris Redfield. The infertile and austere land is swept with the filtering sweat of something intensely wrong. The return of biological organic weapons (B.O.W.s) on the black market poses a huge threat, and anyone that can pay the bill will be equipped for bioterrorism harmful to everyone. While exploring the continent through the infected that bleed out of their eyes, players will learn to adapt to the beautifully crested environments and manage to survive with the help of their partner Sheva Alomar, a trusted partner and an agent of West African branch of the B.S.A.A. Capcom breaks an intense trend that it had set of previous games: one protagonist followed with numerous characters and some that rarely helped along the way. Sheva Alomar is here to stay, is gorgeous, and does nothing better than aid Redfield when he needs it the most. The horrific scenes inculcated with the patina of slaughter and the incredible loss of balance makes Resident Evil 5 an environment in itself worth exploring to the fullest reaches of Africa.

Tom Clancy’s H.A.W.X Review

H.A.W.X Review

After an impressive series of titles under the Tom Clancy name embroidered with Rainbow Six, Ghost Recon and Splinter Cell, Ubisoft had a lot of thinking to do and were left to wonder how new ideas can be brought in without just churning out sequel after sequel. After seeing the completely new path Tom Clancy games could be taken down in the form of Endwar, people were optimistic about future titles including H.A.W.X  (High-Altitude Warfare Experimental).  Based on the squadron for air support of the Ghost Recon team, H.A.W.X takes players on a whirlwind of realistic airfare combat across beautiful scenery. Although some gameplay aspects vary in their quality, H.A.W.X does well to deliver a great air combat title.
