Sony Gamer’s Day 2009: inFamous, Uncharted 2, White Knight Chronicles, and MAG

Sony Gamer's Day 2009 Event

Sony invited our staff to the Sony Gamer’s Day Event in Los Angeles for April 20th and we got a hands on look at some of the hot Sony titles indicated above. All in all, we will not be previewing each of these as the hands on we received were not extensive enough to truly write a decent preview for (except inFamous for which five levels were shown) but we will let everyone in on this much: Sony Computer Entertainment is showing a lot of promise for their 2009 titles, with many still yet to be seen and some confirmed still not be shown at E3: Heavy Rain being one of them.

An inFamous preview will not follow in light of the easy accessibility to the demo. We played inFamous before only twice already, excluding Gamer’s Day for the third time. Yet, each time, there is not enough coverage for a preview (which we still keep in-depth). 1 hour is decent time to preview this game,  but not enough for our standards.

Godfather II Review: You Do Not Want To Buy This, Kapeech?

Godfather 2 Review

Extorting, racketeering, and blackmail have never tasted so bad. Literally. To make a game based on, arguably, one of the greatest series of films in history is always going to be a hard task right from the off. The game will always be compared to the film in every aspect and although there is a small layer of storyline and ideas, it is the foundation of underlying problems that set it back from being a game even worth a rental.

Super Paper Mario Review: Interdimensional Excitement

Super Paper Mario is back in this Wii iteration from the Gamecube platformer adventure to the Wii-screen everywhere.  While Super Mario Galaxy is still a long way off, Nintendo and Intelligent Systems have created an exciting adventure that will satiate the long wate for plumber fans:  Super Paper Mario.  Super Paper Mario creates a stunning hybrid to the platform and action adventure and the game has many of the aesthetics of the previous Paper Mario games while featuring eccentric characters, decent gameplay, and a stunning level design. While some elements keep it away from being a classic, Super Paper Mario is an incredible game that showcases the Wii further.

Command & Conquer: Red Alert 3 Ultimate Edition Review – RTSful

Command & Conquer: Red Alert 3 Ultimate Edition Review

Command & Conquer 3: Red Alert 3 Ultimate Edition is definitely the best title to get if you are a newcomer to the franchise on the PS3 or are just looking for the next best thing in Command & Conquer 3: Red Alert 3, which features plenty of remnants from the series’ past, but is resilient of leaning too much on its history own history. Ultimate Edition far outweighs the regular pack and brings a more genuine new game experience while still smoothly including design from past iterations. Command & Conquer 3: Red Alert 3 continues venerated Command & Conquer traditions of fast-paced gameplay, innovative unit design, and incredible cutscenes for one amazing game.

Leisure Suit Larry: Box Office Bust Review – Tinsletown Hollywood Hilarity

Leisure Suit Larry: Box Office Bust Review

Leisure Suit Larry: Box Office Bust is back by publisher Codemasters and developer Team17. After the successful reign of the Magna Cum Laude series, Leisure Suit Larry continues the series better than before. With more innovation than Magna Cum Laude, and more of a star studded cast, Leisure Suit Larry: Box Office Bust is simply the title that the franchise has wanted, even if the theme itself is not as particularly strong as college.
