Forza Motorsport 3 Review – Dreamy Spirit

Forza Motorsport 3 Review

Dreams are hard to come by in reality, while greater racing experiences are even rarer with dream cars. Bringing over 400 of the most exotic cars and fusing them into an exotic environment niche, Forza Motorsport 3 coalesces one of the best racing experiences with superb graphics, incredible vehicle realism, dynamic customization and accessibility for audiences of all skill levels.  Forza Motorsport 3 does not just provide players a simple game interface with a bunch of car models, but manages to make extraordinary and simple gameplay such as racing into a world where players can escape into a community of wheel-enthusiasts. Forza Motorsport 3 still lacks from a variety of originality in singleplayer mod, but makes up for it in numerous features with the ability to customize every car. Turn 10 brings up a definitive racing thrill that is marvelous and realistic for a level of gameplay that leads to one of the most exotic vehicle performance action titles to debut in 2009.

Borderlands Review: Border-line Mediocrity

Borderlands Review: Borderline Mediocrity

Borderlands brings the apotheosis of a mediocre title striving to expand beyond its grasps by being the first to allow a fusion of two beloved genres in everyday titles: shooter and Role Playing Game (RPG). Borderlands manages to make generic role playing aspects combined with a new level of grinding glory to provide for a decent action experience that still ends up largely failing in the execution of making anything exciting for play. Borderlands hopes to land people in a time of unruly circumstances, fueled by interesting characters that are skilled in many different ways, but unfortunately takes a spin into the unexceptional and obtrusively boring.

Operation Flashpoint 2: Dragon Rising Review – Bore War

Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising Review

Realism in games has always been hit or miss. On one hand we have racing, sports and real life simulator games which constantly try and upgrade to become proper simulators and for the most part it works. Whereas on the other hand we have first and third person shooters where in the past have proven that if made too realistic detract from the fun and enjoyment that comes from blowing enemies away left, right and center. The team at Codemasters tried to buck this trend and wanted to make Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising realistic while keeping the fun at the forefront, but has largely failed.

Brütal Legend Review – Heavy Metal Lives

Brütal Legend Review - Heavy Metal Lives

Jack Black partakes in the metal universe of Brütal Legend, a game which introduces the entire audience to a world that completely stuns and gratifies players into the lifestyle of metal rockers, metal gods, Headbangers, and other metal creatures that base the structure of rock and roll to create a form of music that lends itself to power in the universe of the era. Brütal Legend unfortunately does find a chord in repetitiveness and button-mashing combination scheme throughout the game. Double Fine still makes sure that the entirety of the musical composition that makes Brütal Legend is definitely fun and exciting. Whimsical comedy in the entertaining storyline, terrific voice acting, and a unique supporting cast creates an indelible mark on the metal genre of Brütal Legend. Tim Schafer’s Brütal Legend combines the magical and extraordinarily hilarious for an experience that does not build just on metal but finds a way to bring out metal in the world.
