Antec Neopower 650W: Solid Orange

Here Comes Sound

Everyone wants great performance for what they pay, but no one wants that at the cost of horrible fan sound pip-popping like a dead beat car. WhatIfGaming features an extensive look into acoustics for anything air-cooling related in regards to specific cubic feet per time measurements. In addition to a dB scale, we calculate for our own notes the dB-relative results to determine the energy output that each dBA emits. All tests results are based on calculations at sea level using a weighting filter because when consumers buy products, they don’t joke around nor do we.

Antec Neopower 650W Review Acoustics

The Antec Neopower 650W performs admirably to the sound tests which we conduct primarily at sea level. The Antec Neopower 650W starts on a light load from ~2.93BA, a great starting point. Midway we see a sharp rise possibly due to the capacitive changes due to some crazy potential across the plates, and then we see an overall rise to near ~4.673BA, a .3829BA approximated increase. You can definitely hear it in your case, maybe a little louder than a whisper which is a slight problem and something that Antec needs to work on given the fan speeds.

Phew. That was a handful, but I can tell it was very concise and to the point. Thanks WhatIfGaming

Highly impressed with the professionalism of this site and how they don’t make everything boring like OCP or Anand. And they have better grammar too. What else can we expect. Didn’t he go to Princeton U ?

Yeah. I don’t think everyone in Princeton has such great grammar, but I like it as well
