ATI XGP Coming To It
AMD announces ATI XGP (Fancy for External Graphics Platform) Technology, a new external PCI Express (PCIe) 2.0 graphics platform, designed to take a crack at giving Notebook users more graphical power that Desktop users have. ATI XGP is an exclusive technology that capitalizes on PCIe 2.0 to deliver enthusiast-class graphics via a connected cable to an externally powered and cooled device.
It’s certainly interesting, but we’re looking towards seeing how it can play out. Nano-PCI Express anyone?

External PCI-e? Woahh…first SoC, now this?

Tell me about it!
ATI XGP is the revolution right ?
External for the win….maybe
I’m not too convinced on e-PCI-E
Same here. PCI-E external sounds utter fail.
It might work, lets see
I don’t think XGP is that great. Unless you can hook up a 9800GX2 external haha. But then PSU constraints annoy it

What IS so special about it ?
