Break Records By Gaming

Live in or near Brooklyn? 21 or over? Play video games? Then you, my friend, are eligible to get in to the Guinness World Records! I could bore you with the details but I’ll let the quote take that job.

Have you ever wanted a world title on one of the classics? Some of history’s most memorable arcade games will be on display as fans of the golden age of gaming attempt new Guinness World Records at Barcade in Brooklyn, NY. Guinness World Records™ celebrates the launch of the inaugural Guinness World Records™: Gamer’s Edition 2008 by offering record attempts in any one of five categories, including Fastest Time to Beat Five Boards on Ms. Pac Man, Fastest Time to Beat Five Boards on Tapper, Highest Out-Run Score, Highest Ghosts ‘n Goblins Score, and Highest Donkey Kong Score Without Using the Hammer. Records will be breakable for gamers of all skill levels, and the public at large is invited to try their hand at the joystick of destiny. The event starts at 7:30 pm on Thursday, April 10th at Barcade (388 Union Ave., Brooklyn, NY 11211). Please bring a 21+ ID to enter Barcade.

Hey Guinness, how about some love for those of us on the West side?
