Humongous was originally co-founded by LucasArts’s Ron Gilbert, who is now over at Hothead Games. The company is aiming to provide Wii games similar to the focus on adventure and critical-thinking games for kids. These include: Freddi Fish, Pajama Sam and Spy Fox for titles. Well, at least now all the kids looking to focus and critically think outside of their school schedule can focus on these new Wii titles. Good for them. We think.
The games will be brought by Interactive Game Group, who is responsible for bringing the games to the Wii through a license with Humongous, along with stateside distribution through Majesco, with Atari Europe to distribute the upcoming titles overseas.
For more than a decade, Humongous has continued to create some of the most memorable and successful interactive entertainment properties for children. Their characters have demonstrated both tremendous staying power and widespread consumer appeal, and we think this kind of family-friendly content is well- suited to the Wii system.
