Metal Gear Solid 4 Review: The Legacy
There Are No Good Guys
The features are important, but the battlefield is a whole another story. As you move throughout the environments in the game, you’ll come across different militia troops that are fighting the PMCs for control of their locations. Players have two options in this situation: on one hand, players can continue on their own, and fight both PMC and militia. On the other hand, they can attempt to gain the trust of these troops by fighting on their side. You can build a reputation as a fighter that believes in their cause, and each will aid you in your mission, providing cover fire or support during skirmishes, etc. Just don’t accidentally hit anyone or back to square one.
The single player is great in Metal Gear Solid 4, but how’s the online in this starter pack wonder? Simply put, amazing. The gameplay consists of many modes such as Sneak, Team Deathmatch, Deathmatch, and many more. The starter pack now comes with additional stages, Urban Ultimatum and Ambush Alley in order. Urban Ultimatum is very large and perfect for those sniping people. Ambush Alley is full of surprises, and there are plenty of opportunities to do so with smashed buildings. There are clans, for interactivity between players and voice chat for increased communication. All the basic weapons are there, just none of Snake’s amazing features except for Sneak mode. The online is definitely seamless and there’s barely any lag if any and the action is nonstop.
