Nintendo has shot to the top of the yearly Develop 100. The Develop 100, put together by two ranking madmen, ranks the world’s games development studios according to the sales of their games at UK retail as according to ChartTrack data. The 2008 edition comes free with every copy of the April edition of Develop, arriving today to those in the UK.
Nintendo, putting the “We just buttsacked you” crown on, dethrones EA Canada which held the top place in the previous three editions of the list. Games made by the firm’s Kyoto and Tokyo-based development teams, which include Brain Training and Super Mario Galaxy, generated £129.83m in revenue for the company, a huge 200 percent increase. When Mario Kart Wii comes out, you can be sure that things are going to get stirring.
