A spokesperson we contacted for Sony reports that
SIXAXIS will no longer be offered after it’s completely sold through at retail (likely by June to mid July).
Why? The Dual Shock 3 of course. The heavier goodness of DS3 will cost $54.95 and feature both the SIXAXIS motion controls and pressure sensors that rumble in response to actions such as hitting your head to the floor in Motorstorm, getting hit with a mallet in Condemned 2, and all those odd intricacies. It will supposedly be compatible with the entire library of games. Or you can always look for a little DS3 icon on the back of the box.
