MGS 5 A Reality

Kojima has confirmed that MGS4 isn’t the last people will see of the series. Once thought to be the final outcome to the series, MGS4 will have a successor with or without snake.

Kojima noted that the Kojima Productions staff is taking time off now that MGS4 has gone gold, but proudly slip in

We have to start thinking about MGS5. Snake’s story is finished with MGS4, however.

Okay, so Snake’s dead which leaves us going will it actually be MGS5? Well, he was probably saying it as word of mouth, but the actual “Solid” series will continue, but whether “5″ will be in there remains a mystery.

I’d like to leave the producer role to another person. I want the new MGS to be made by a young person. If it has action involving sneaking missions, I believe it’s okay whatever direction it takes.

If you think that MGS4 will be the best of the series, think again. Like the great guy he is, he’s constantly seeing what he can improve on at the very least.

I thought that there was no longer a need to worry about space said Kojima, reflecting on his thinking at the time of the announcement in Spain. At the time of CD-ROM, it was the same — I was happy at no longer needing to worry about space.

SNAAA-Ehrm. Here’s Some Screens: MGS 4

Isn’t it interesting that we say Metal Gear Solid 4 and not IV? But what’s more interesting is these screenshots sent to us from Konami.

Key Features (Metal Gear Solid 4):
• MGS4 pushes the power of the PLAYSTATION® 3 to its limits with cutting edge graphics and surround sound. It also aims to be the hallmark title for the new DUALSHOCK®3 controller.
• Command Snake in his final mission which spans the entire globe as he attempts to foil Liquid Ocelot and his massive army of PMCs.
• Influence the tides of war through both passive and active means. Snake can directly aid local militia who engage invading PMCs soldiers, or encourage more fighting to slip past undetected amidst the commotion.
• Unlock custom weapons and modifications as you trade weapons with your black market weapons dealer, Drebin.
• Providing Snake with his most advanced stealth suit to date, OctoCamo, allows Snake to blend in with his environment as it digitally manifests nearby textures in real time.
• Otacon is back to support Snake by providing new high tech gadgets, including Metal Gear Mk. II, the ultimate reconnaissance tool, and Solid Eye, which gives Snake real-time information on enemies and his surroundings.
Key Features (Metal Gear Online):
• Up to 16 players can battle it out individually or as a team
• Sons of the Patriot(SOP) system allows team mates to visually synchronize and monitor each other’s status at all times
• Players can select up to 4 skills to specialize in to match their play style and increase their effectiveness. Close Quarter Combat(CQC), Knife fighting, quickness, alertness, heavy weaponry mastery, demolition, and sniper mastery are just some of the skills you can specialize in
• Frequent future downloads will include new maps, new game type modes, skins and weapons

Snake WILL Die.

Well, as Kojima likes to put it: “Metal Gear Solid 4 is the last journey for Solid Snake.” Seriously?! No way. We wanted to see him fighting big robo corps at the age of $300 on his stroller.

Either way, for those of you who didn’t figure it out already, Metal Gear Solid 4 will be the last in the series. But that’s what he said about Metal Gear Solid 3 and also said the Q’s were answered. Then making 4, he said they weren’t. We won’t count this as truth JUST yet.

Metal Gear Solid 4 rated 15

Konami’s Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns Of The Patriots passed the BBFC eye with a ‘15’ age rating.

The classification was made without any cuts having to be applied to the game. Hooray for UK. They will see Sam in all his glory.

Metal Gear Online Boxart Splice

A boxart for the separate Metal Gear Online PS3 exclusive has just hit the web:

It looks–tactical, and very amazing with the warm colors. But then again, the MGS4 boxart is a grey overcoat and normal. Nothing does it better apparently.

MGS 4: Boxart Of A Legend

The boxart for North America has just been released by GameStop, instead of Konami for a change. On the front is an old Snake looking on to a silent spectator observing the legend in front of him. Or maybe he’s just looking ahead at a rock or something? Who knows:
