Rockstar To Pirates: “It’s Difficult.”
We were waiting and waiting on a reply from Rockstar Games in relation to the recent PAL and NTSC leaks of the GTA IV, and finally we have an answer.
It’s difficult. It’s hard to think that so many are willing to download the games and are unwilling to support us with all the efforts we put into it.
True words could never be clearer. We were the first site to report that the NTSC version itself was nearing 17,000 leechers from an already estimated 13,000 seeder population. No we don’t torrent, but we know people who do. If we didn’t, we wouldn’t exactly have news like that then would we?
GTA IV For PC Very Doubtful
Okay, who here isn’t crazy for GTA IV? Seriously. 360 fans running a muck about it and their DLC with PS3 fans going crazy over finally playing one of the most anticipated titles to date. Even the PC crowd is joining in on the action and asking about when it’s likely GTA will come for the PC (e.g. 12 months+).
We hate to ruin the party for all the PC hopefuls out there, but Rockstar’s Nick Hersh, one of the associate producers, has something to say and you might want to sit down for this:
As for GTA IV coming out on the PC, that’s very doubtful as we currently have no plans to develop for the PC. We could only focus our efforts extensively on so many consoles at once, and PC might not see the light of day.
And the music stops. The DJ’s headphones pop out at the PC party crowd as the record warps a bit back. It’s dead silent. Nobody move.
Rockstar To Leak: “We’re Taking Care Of It.”
As you all may or may not know, a leaked video of the GTA IV gameplay surfaced, and we won’t link to it here. Merrily so, we got in touch with Rockstar.
We’re aware of this video, who posted it, and are taking care of it. It’s sad to see things like this happening so close to launch, especially when people deserve a better first look.
There you have it. Rockstar Games wants you to have a fruitful watch of the game, in better quality. Why not?
Rockstar Responds To Manhunt 2 In UK: “K THX”
The BBFC initially refused to grant Manhunt 2 a rating back in June 2007 stating the reason of “unremitting bleakness and callousness of tone”. About 10 minutes ago, the British Board of Film Classification’s approved Manhunt 2 for release in the UK. Soon after, Rockstar had something to say: “Thankies!”
Straight from the press release:
“We are pleased that the VAC has reaffirmed its decision recognizing that Manhunt 2 is well within the bounds established by other 18+ rated entertainment. Rockstar Games is committed to making great interactive entertainment, while also marketing our products responsibly and supporting an effective rating system.”
Great going Rockstar! You finally convinced them! What if they change their minds? Luckily, they aren’t allowed to do that. Final verdict ranks supreme.
