WhatIfGaming’s Best of E3 2011 Awards

Best Xbox 360 Game:
BioShock: Infinite

Developer: Irrational Games
Publisher: Take-Two Interactive, Inc.

BioShock: Infinite is quite possibly one of the best titles we have seen on the Xbox 360 at E3 2011 for not only a game that has a promising storyline that is turning out to be the best in terms of its shock elements, but also one that delivers a greater capacity of gameplay in the third iteration including balanced graphics, a fantastic storyline, and truer relationships with newer characters and struggles.

Best PlayStation 3 Game:

Developer/Co-Developer: Lightbox Interactive / SCE Santa Monica Studio
Publisher: Sony Computer Entertainment

Starhawk and the lore of the storyline with the Outcasts, rift energy, and protagonist Emmett Graves is something which left us wanting more when we sat and played with Dylan Jobe. Starhawk is truly a game that every Warhawk fan wants and PlayStation 3 fans have clearly been wanting to get their hands on for the PlayStation 3 when it is released in 2012. While other games such as Uncharted 3, Resistance 3, and Ratchet & Clank: All 4 One present a lot of promise and impressions that are too good to be had without playing the individual titles yourselves, Starhawk and its entry as a new IP from the team makes it not only one of the most original concepts coming from SCE, but one that is daring enough to be different yet familiar and willing to create leaps to make a title that has a new name.

Most Anticipated:
The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim

Developer: Bethesda Game Studios
Publisher: Bethesda Softworks

The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim comes with the classical Elder Scrolls IV elements, but with graphics that increase the level of distances, and simply the environments themselves look exponentially more difficult to create over time or truly map out on the title’s gameplay maps which are seamless and without any loading screens. The storyline, combined with the hundreds of different quests and the entire epic journey within the folklore of the Nord and the Empire during the struggle of the civil war carves The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim as one of the most anticipated titles by our industry voters and especially us.

I'm all about one thing: reviews that are easy to understand and make sense of.
