Reports about a ‘Premium’ 2023 Call of Duty game have been hovering and are confusing. While it was anticipated the game will be like a DLC, Insider Gaming has claimed it will be a full-fledged title. The source has also stated that the new title will have multiple beta weeks, an early access campaign with a complete marketing strategy.
Call of Duty 2023 Will be A Full-Fledged Game
Insider Gaming states that earlier plans did point at a more DLC-like new title. However, the idea was later shelved and the title became a complete premium project. The game will have a connection to the Modern Warfare series, but the general details are next to none. Jason Schreier from Bloomberg claimed that the game will be developed by Sledgehammer Games. However, the title for the 2023 Call of Duty hasn’t been decided as of yet.
The source has also revealed that the title will comprise 2 beta weeks ahead of its launch. There will also be early access to the campaign and complete marketing strategies for its promotion. Another highlight is that even the new Call of Duty will still be available on older-gen consoles like the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
A release date has also been confirmed. Beta weekend 1 will begin on October 6 to 10 (PS4/PS5). Beta 2 from October 12 to 16 (PS4, PS5, and Xbox) with early access from November 2 (PS4/PS5). The title is slated for a November 10, 2023 release date. The information hasn’t been made official by the developers so if the news is indeed true we might see that happening soon.
