A new LEGO Harry Potter game could be coming soon according to a new leaked poster. Reports of its existence have been making rounds since Warner Bros. Games South Africa posted a teaser that showcased a picture and a date on it. The dates on the poster align with the upcoming Gamescom hinting at a probable announcement at the event.
LEGO Harry Potter in The Style of The Skywalker Saga is Coming Soon
Update: A couple of posts on Reddit point out irregularities in the date format used, suggesting its a Photoshop.
The reports state that the title adopts the same style as Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga. This suggests that the title will focus a lot on exploration and story development. However, we’ve already had LEGO Harry Potter games covering years 1-4 and then 5-7. Initially launched on the PS3 and Xbox 360, then later released for PS4, and Xbox One but a PS5|XSX version is still missing.
This could hint that LEGO is indeed making the Harry Potter story once again but now with a different style. The Skywalker Saga had an excellent reception and currently sits with very positive ratings on Steam. So, if the rumored game is anything alike it will be a treat for the fans.
In addition, there have also been reports suggesting something related to the Fantastic Beasts storyline. The game could adapt that story or that might even be released as a DLC later on. But of course, this for now is strictly a rumor as WB hasn’t commented on the matter.
2023 continues to be an excellent year for Harry Potter fans. With Hogwarts Legacy doing so well, and a Quidditch Champions game also coming, what more could HP fans ask for? But let’s wait for the poster’s credibility and see if the LEGO game gets announced on August 25.
