A Plague Tale Requiem is one of those games that excelled even though it didn’t even have a 60 FPS mode at launch. This was due to the extremely well-written characters, an extraordinary storyline, and brilliant visuals. However, the experience on PC was always better owing to a better frame rate. Fortunately, after around 6 months since its launch, A Plague Tale Requiem is getting a performance mode for consoles (PS5 and Series X).
A Plague Tale Requiem Performance Mode Unlocks 60 FPS on Consoles
The latest update finally brings the much-awaited performance mode to A Plague Tale Requiem. The game ran at just 30 FPS at launch on the consoles. However, if you had a 120Hz monitor or TV, it could max out at 40 FPS. While it isn’t a title where 30 FPS affects much, running at 60 is certainly a much better experience.
Now, for console players who missed having the higher refresh rate, the smooth performance mode is now available. Unfortunately for the Series S users, the performance mode hasn’t been added. It is worrying to see how Series S isn’t getting the treatment that it should.
Along with the performance mode for consoles, the title is also receiving additional graphics settings for PC players. Additionally, A Plague Tale Requiem is now also on sale at 35% off on the PS5 on the PlayStation Store. The sequel was certainly one of the best titles released last year. It was everything good about the original and more and was an emotional rollercoaster of an adventure. So, you can’t go wrong by purchasing the title especially now that it has a performance mode.
