Age of Empires IV recently released on Xbox at the Gamescom ONL. It released on PC in October 2021, so the Xbox version is here after almost 2 years. For those of you interested in playing the title, we have the performance options for the title.

Age of Empires IV Supports 4K 60 on Xbox Series X

Xbox Series X users will be delighted to hear that they can play the title at 4K 60 FPS. However, the Series S version maxes out at 1080p 60 FPS. Series S is mainly intended for 1440p gaming so seeing that skipped is kind of a bummer.

Age of Empires IV isn’t the toughest of the games to run. In fact, even a PC with quite average specs can run it. So, seeing 1440p skipped on the Series S doesn’t make much sense. Also considering the power of Series X, a 120 FPS mode wouldn’t have hurt either, but maybe that’s just us.

On the brighter side, both the Series S and X will support a keyboard and mouse. Even different mods are supported on the console version as well. Age of Empires IV was critically received and sits at a 9/10 reviews on Steam. With the crisp 4K visuals, Xbox Series X will be a great way to experience the title. It is now available on PC, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and Game Pass.
