Remedy Entertainment has announced that Alan Wake 2 has been slightly delayed. The developers say the 10-day delay has been made to allow gamers to completely focus on Alan Wake 2. The much-anticipated sequel is releasing after almost 13 years and the fans are hyped for it.
Alan Wake 2 Has Been Delayed by 10 Days
Taking to Twitter, the developers announced the slight delay along with the new release date. Alan Wake 2 is now set to release on October 27th instead of October 17th. Remedy has stated that October is a month of great games and the delay was necessary to give space to all the launching titles.
Just like Remedy said, October really is a month of solid releases. The Oct 17th release coincided with the Oct 20th release date of Marvel’s Spider-Man which could’ve significantly affected both the titles. Earlier this month, Assassin’s Creed Mirage’s release was also pushed forward to help get proper time.
This is a great move by the developers as well, as now the gamers will be able to concentrate solely on Alan Wake 2. Built using their own Northlight Engine, everything we’ve seen of the sequel looks promising. Alan Wake 2 now launches on October 27th for the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
