The announcement of Counter-Strike 2 came out of nowhere and excited everyone. While the game is set to be one of the biggest releases of the year, a version of CS2 has currently leaked online. The early build is downloadable via Torrent and has been uncovered by Twitter user Artie Yamamoto. It did look sketchy at first but the user has authenticated that it’s completely legitimate.
Counter-Strike 2 Early Build Files And In-Game Footage Leaked
It is important to note that the leaked version isn’t the final version of the game. Valve is playtesting CS2 with a limited amount of players, and it seems one of those has let the game files slip. So, this could be the build version currently being used for playtesting.
As for its authenticity, the build contains the core file for the title. Plus, there is a digital signature on the file provided by Valve Corp. Also, we can see Artie has uploaded some screenshots from their playthrough. The Torrent contains a total of 2664 files sized at 18.92 GB.
However, despite the Torrent being valid, it is an early version which is also a limited version of Counter-Strike 2. It only lets you play single-player campaign and doesn’t have access to online multiplayer. While the developers haven’t officially stated, anything it must be worrying considering the title only just got announced.
