The Armored Core series was the one that made FromSoftware what it is today. Originally kicked off in the late 90’s the series received its last mainline entry in 2012. Finally, after much speculation, the release date of Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon has now been revealed, and it’s coming out sooner than we expected.
Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon to Release on August 25, 2023
Armored Core VI was announced with a trailer back in 2022 at The Game Awards with a 2023 release. There was a lot of speculation that the game might be coming later as there might be a delay. However, FromSoftware has revealed that Armored Core VI will release on August 25, 2023, catching everyone by surprise. You can watch the gameplay trailer below:
A mysterious new substance called “Coral” was discovered on the remote planet, Rubicon 3. Instead of helping humanity on the way to greatness, the substance created chaos. In Armored Core VI, the coral has resurfaced again after 50 years. You will infiltrate Rubicon as an independent mercenary struggling to takeover the substance with the corporations and other factions.
Armored Core VI brings back everything good about the series and adds to that. The title boasts some really improved visuals, considering it completely skipped a console generation. Moreover, the title will let you build and operate your own mechs to engage in various missions.
The sixth entry in the acclaimed franchise releases on August 25, 2023, on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC via Steam. Pre-orders for the title are also live now. The game will be part of PlayStation Free Upgrade and Xbox Smart Delivery.
