Just a few weeks after Focus Entertainment announced its release date, Atlas Fallen has been delayed. The upcoming A-RPG got its release date announced on March 1, but the developers have now stated that they need to do a bit more work on the title. The new development has come via Focus Entertainment Twitter account.
Atlas Fallen Delayed By 3 Months
Originally slated for May 16, 2023, Atlas Fallen has now received a delayed date of August 10. That’s a 3-month delay right after the original release date announcement. Focus Entertainment has stated that the delay is necessary to deliver the best version of the game.
According to the official statement:
Our goal has always been to create a memorable A-RPG experience in a unique setting, with exciting gameplay and the option for fully playable seamless co-op with a friend. We’d love to give the game some extra time which will allow us to deliver the best possible version of Atlas Fallen
Although the news is disappointing, a badly optimized, unfinished game is worse than a delay that fixes the problems. The most recent instance has been The Last of Us Part 1 PC port. This makes it understandable as to why Atlus Fallen is getting delayed.
On the brighter side, the developers have announced they’ll update more about the game in early summer. There will also be new gameplay footage along with a first look at the co-op in Atlas Fallen. The title will launch on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
