The first Atomic Heart DLC was revealed last month with a vague trailer. It was slated for a summer 2023 release, and now through a new trailer, the exact release date has been announced. Atomic Heart: Annihilation Instinct DLC is set to release next month.

Atomic Heart First DLC to be Called ‘Annihilation Instinct

Along with the release date, additional footage from the DLC has been revealed including the gameplay. According to the official description:

Prepare to embark on a journey through the new mind-bending Mendeleev Complex and its surrounding swamps and discover the truth about NORA as Major P-3 is pulled back into Facility 3826. Survive vicious, shape-shifting new enemies and take them down using two new cunning weapons – ranged one the Secateur and melee one the Klusha – as well as your glove’s new Techno-Stasis ability, allowing you to manipulate time itself.

The story of Atomic Heart: Annihilation Instinct picks after the climax of the first game. Jump back into the dystopian world to learn what happened after you beat the game. The DLC not only brings back some familiar faces but also adds a brand new enigmatic character.

Atomic Heart was one of the best games released this year. While the title flew under the radar for many people, it certainly came out looking really good. Atomic Heart: Annihilation Instinct DLC releases on August 2, 2023.
