Finally, after a long wait, Ubisoft has revealed Avatar Frontiers of Pandora gameplay. The 6-minute-long trailer gives us a detailed look at the title along with its Far Cry-like gameplay. Along, with the gameplay, the release date has also been announced, and the title launches in December 2023.
Avatar Frontiers of Pandora Gameplay and Release Date Revealed
Avatar Frontiers of Pandora was supposed to launch back in 2022, however, due to certain circumstances Ubisoft delayed it until 2023. Massive Entertainment and Ubisoft have revealed the first gameplay for the title revealing a gorgeous world. You will play as a Na’vi trained by the RDA. Watch the trailer below:
Moreover, a little insight into the story has also been revealed. The Na’vi was raised and trained by the RDA to fight against her own people. The RDA later leaves Pandora which leads to the Na’vi rediscovering her homeworld and reconnecting with her Na’vi heritage. She learns to use the Na’vi weapons and survival skills preparing her for when the RDA comes back.
Keeping true to its roots, Ubisoft has kept the Avatar gameplay pretty much like the Far Cry franchise. This isn’t necessarily a bad thing as the Far Cry games are one of the best open-world titles out there. Much like Far Cry you have to hunt down enemy checkposts which in this case are the RDA strongholds.
You will also be trained to name and bond with your own Ikran, helping you in traversing the world. There will also be skill trees to help improve your skills and learn new abilities. The title isn’t only single-player but also allows 2-player co-op gameplay.
From what we’ve seen so far the game looks really stunning with satisfactory gameplay. Avatar Frontiers of Pandora releases on December 7, 2023. You can check the pre-order bonuses here.
