The new game by Bioshock creator Ken Levine was revealed during The Game Awards, and it is called Judas. It will be the first game by Levine’s studio, Ghost Story Games. The studio itself is a self-published label of Take-Two Interactive. Although not much of the game is known, we still received a trailer showcasing it.
Judas Game Details
Judas is described as a narrative first-person shooter by Ghost Story Games. The game is said to be a proper single-player experience made especially for the current generation consoles and the PC. Although not much is known about the game’s story, we do know that the game is mostly narrative-driven and will feature a single-player story similar to the Bioshock series. It seems that Judas will be building upon the narrative-driven single-player experience.
RPG and sci-fi elements might also be present, as seen in the trailer, so it will surely make for an exciting experience. Visually and gameplay-wise, it also looks clearly inspired by the Bioshock series, which isn’t a surprise. More details regarding the game can be found on its official page.
“With Judas, we’ve created an entirely new world and set of characters while exploring different approaches to single-player, narrative first-person shooters.”
Ken Levine, President & Creative Director of Ghost Story Games
So, it looks like the game will have approaches that will make it stand out from other games of the same kind. But, with very little knowledge about it other than a trailer, it is quite hard to judge. The game is probably in early to mid-development. So, we probably can know more about it by next year when it is more polished.
The game can currently be wishlisted on Steam and the Epic Games Store. We can expect to know more about the game soon from Ghost Story games and Ken Levine himself.
