The release date of Call Of Duty Modern Warfare II has been set as October 28 this year. The official Call of Duty Twitter account tweeted an artwork reveal trailer that showed the release date for the title. The game is the much-anticipated sequel to the Modern Warfare reboot that was released in 2019.
In addition to the artwork reveal a cover of the game that showed the fan favorite character Simon ‘Ghost’ Riley was also revealed. In addition to that, the artwork of other favorite characters including John ‘Soap’ Mactavish and Captain John Price was also revealed.

It’s no secret that Modern Warfare II has been a hot topic for the past few months in the gaming community. Various leaks and rumors surrounding the game had surfaced which made fans of the series speculate whether a release was near. Similarly, various details of the game’s story and other game modes have surfaced too. It is speculated that the story mode of the game will focus on Colombian drug cartels.
Another game mode called the DMZ mode will also feature in the game. This DMZ mode is said to be inspired by games like Escape From Tarkov. Moreover, the DMZ mode might feature a lite battle royale mode where you have the ability to collect guns. You will also lose all progress of your equipment when you are killed. In addition, this mode will replace the beloved Spec-Ops mode which has been a staple in the Modern Warfare series. Details about skill-based matchmaking (SBMM) in the game have also been revealed.
With the release date of Modern Warfare II set, fans will not have to wait much longer. Alpha tests are currently set for August. In addition to that, the alpha tests will feature the popular Gunfight: a four-player, two versus two mode.
