Capcom’s announcement that the Resident Evil 4 Remake would be coming to the PS4 was a surprising move. There were anticipations that the title would be next-gen only, however, this was negated by the reveal. The PS4 release got us wondering if there would be an Xbox One version too. And it looks like we might be getting that.

While there has been no official announcement it seems like RE4 Remake could be heading to the Xbox One too. If you visit the Resident Evil portal and head over to Resident Evil 4 Remake, it lists all the available platforms. And surprisingly Xbox One is one of them.

Earlier we reported an Amazon listing for Resident Evil 4 Remake on Xbox One. But the listing was later deleted indicating that it might be an error. But this new development has got us wondering if that was indeed an error or if was it for real. If Capcom can optimize it for the PS4, doing the same for the Xbox One doesn’t make it much of a challenge. The only question is will they?

The catch here is that when you tap on the Xbox One icon it takes you directly to the official Resident Evil 4 Remake site and there’s no mention of Xbox One there. Of course, Capcom hasn’t made any comment on the situation. And if an Xbox One version is indeed planned it’s possible we might hear about it in the future.

Resident Evil 4 Remake: What to Expect?

Resident Evil 4 Remake will carry on the lines of RE 2 and 3 remakes. Considering Capacom has had massive success with both titles replicating the formula could give us another masterpiece. Resident Evil 4 is largely considered the best in the franchise and the developers would try to keep it that way.

The trailer shows us the completely new looks for Leon, Ashley, Ada Wong, and others. The game also keeps the iconic over-the-shoulder camera angle we all loved back in the day. Apart from that, it will feature modern visuals, improved controls, and new mechanics just like RE2 and 3 Remakes.

Resident Evil 4 Remake releases on March 24, 2023. For now, the list of confirmed platforms includes PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
