Earlier this year, CDPR revealed that they plan to make another Witcher trilogy, and they’ve revealed more about it in today’s report. Additionally, CDPR is also working on a Cyberpunk 2077 sequel, as well as a new IP.

  • Phantom Liberty expansion
  • Project Sirius
  • Project Polaris
  • Project Canis Majoris
  • Project Orion
  • Project Hader

Phantom Liberty Expasion for Cyberpunk 2077

Phantom Liberty has been announced for quite some time now, and it will be the only expansion of Cyberpunk 2077. It is currently in the final stages of production, and CDPR has stated that over 350+ people are part of the development team.

The expansion is coming out in 2023, but there isn’t a solid release date yet. You can read more about it here.

Project Sirius

Project Sirius, according to CDPR, will be an innovative new game in the Witcher universe. It will have an unforgettable story for both current and new Witcher fans. The game is currently under pre-production. The Molasses Flood is developing the title, supported by CDPR. The game currently has 60+ people involved in its development.

Project Polaris

Project Polaris is the new Witcher game that was announced a while ago. The game would continue the legacy of Witcher 3. It is expected to feature a Witcher from a new school. Currently, we don’t exactly know who it will be, but an image was shown as a teaser when it was first announced.

This brand new teaser image is a medallion that belongs to the School of the Lynx. We all know that Lambert came from this school, which could mean that the protagonist is one of his Witcher friends or even his student. It could be Ciri or even a new character altogether.

Project Polaris will be the start of a brand new Witcher trilogy. All three games will be released within a time frame of 6 years. A team of 150+ people is working on the game at CDPR and is currently in pre-production.

Project Canis Majoris

There aren’t many details of Project Canis Majoris at the moment. It will be like The Witcher 3 in terms of being a single-player open-world RPG. CDPR hasn’t revealed a name, but it is being worked on by a studio of ex-Witcher veterans.

Project Orion

CDPR recently revealed that they plan to keep adding to the Cyberpunk universe. That started with them making an Edge Runners Anime for Netflix. Another entry will be the upcoming Phantom Liberty expansion.

Project Orion, however, will be the first full-fledged Cyberpunk game post CP2077. It will act as a sequel to Cyberpunk 2077 and is being said to utilize the full potential of the Cyberpunk universe. CDPR’s in-house team will handle the development of this one.

Project Hader

Project Hader is going to be something entirely new from CD Projekt Red. It will stand apart from Cyberpunk and The Witcher as a brand new standalone new IP. The project is in the conceptual phase by a small strike team.

Apart from this, they’ve also announced plans to extend the games to multiple shows and movies. CDPR has also revealed the plans to add multiplayer to most of their game going forward. You can see the entire presentation here.

The next-gen patch for The Witcher 3 is another project currently in development. CD Projekt Red revealed that the project is completely on track to release later this year though we don’t have a release date yet.
