Cyberpunk 2077’s only expansion Phantom Liberty’s file size has been confirmed. It takes up relatively quite a lot of space compared to most DLCs. However, that could be owing to the massive nature of the expansion. Because it’s going to be the only one, there is a lot of new stuff coming.
Phantom Liberty Will Be About 33 GB in Size
CD Projekt Red announced that the expansion will be released on September 26, 2023. PlayStation Game Size has confirmed that the Phantom Liberty file size will be 32.926 GB. That makes it almost as big in size as The Witcher 3’s Blood and Wine expansion, which in itself felt like a whole new game.
CDPR revealed a roadmap back in October 2022, that outlined why there will only be a single expansion. Apparently, after Phantom Liberty, the studio wants to fix its attention towards a CP2077 sequel which for now is being called Project Orion.
As for Phantom Liberty, it will take you to a whole new area in the Night City called Dogtown. You again take the role of V and ally with a bunch of people to complete your mission. Keanu Reeves will also be returning and joined by Idris Elba as well.
Phantom Liberty Platforms
Unfortunately, Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty won’t be available for old-gen consoles. It’ll only launch on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC on Sept 26th.
