Death Stranding 2 finally gets an official announcement after numerous leaks and rumors. The game was revealed during The Game Awards and was presented by none other than Hideo Kojima. A trailer accompanied the announcement that gave us a look at the game.
The trailer initially featured veteran actress Lea Seydoux’s character from the first game, Fragile, with a baby. They seem to be running away from intruders in their home. But, ultimately, they fail to escape with Fragile and the baby being injured.
Then it cuts to an aged-up Sam Porter-Bridges, played by Norman Reedus, who is seen conversing with Fragile. The trailer then cuts to a mysterious figure, followed by what seems to be an octopus in the BB pod. The teaser ends with the words ”Should we have connected?”
While the teaser trailer certainly is open to interpretation, the sequel has been anticipated for a long time. Kojima Productions will be using the Decima Engine like the first game. Moreover, the sequel will be in a collaborated development with Guerilla Games too.
