Delta Force Gameplay Details
In an interview with IGN, the developers went into detail about the background and story behind the game. According to producer Shadow Guo, the development team was always interested in making realistic military shooters and explained how the original Delta Force portrayed realistic open-world combat and large-scale multiplayer PvP. They explain that they want to show the evolution of these features while also carrying on the legacy of the gameplay pillars.
”We’re proud to carry on that tradition and create a large, dangerous, and unpredictable world, where you need to complete various missions, face challenges, and earn rewards.”
Guo in the interview.
Describing the tone of the game, Guo said to IGN,
”Our objective is to uphold the authentic essence of the original Delta Force game while infusing a near-future flavor from both artistic and narrative perspectives.”

To achieve that they have developed overarching storylines with realistic themes, employed actors for character-building, captured tactical movements from military professionals, and more. They also have taken guidance from Special Forces personnel to make sure the tone of the game is authentic.
The campaign’s plot is based on the 2001 Ridley Scott epic Black Hawk Down, which itself is based on the real-life Battle of Mogadishu in 1993. Players will be able to witness the thrilling battles in the movie. Regarding multiplayer, Guo has said that the game designers have chosen to build a larger-scale multiplayer playground that can accommodate more than 32 players. The game will also feature crossplay between PC, consoles, and mobile as well. More details of Delta Force will be revealed at Gamescom.
