Blizzard Entertainment has revealed that the much-anticipated sequel in their RPG series, Diablo IV has gone Gold. Fans would be glad to hear this, as it means there won’t be any delays, and the game, would be on track for its release. Announced back in 2019 at the BlizzCon, the game finally comes out on June 6, 2023.
Diablo IV is Gold, Or Should We Say Blood Red
Like many other recent games, Diablo IV also received its fair share of delays. Some reports back in January also suggested another delay for the game was imminent that would push it farther from the June release window. However, Blizzard has nulled these rumors by revealing that Diablo IV has finally ‘Gone Gold’.
Gone gold is a term that is referred to titles that are done with development and ready to be played. It usually means that the launch is near and in this case, we already know about the June release. Previously Blizzard Entertainment held beta tests for Diablo IV to learn about any performance issues or bugs. The tests spanned across all consoles and PC and helped the developers in smoothing out the rough corners.
Blizzard has described that Diablo IV as a more grounded approach to the franchise. It will also be treated post-launch as there will be new story content every 3 months. Moreover, the gameplay and the beta tests so far suggest that the title is going to be worth it and we do really hope that it’s true. It will join an already star-studded roster of Final Fantasy 16, Crash Team Rumble, and Street Fighter 6 for the month of June.
