Diablo IV ‘Server Slam’ will begin on May 12 and will span over 2 days till May 14. The details of the beta will be quite similar to those who played the previous ones but there will be a few changes.
Here are the important details courtesy of Blizzard’s official website:
- Any character progress made during the Early Access and Open Beta weekends will not carry over to Server Slam. Additionally, any character progress made during Server Slam will not carry over to launch.
- Players may level up their characters to Level 20, after which they will cease to gain Ability Points, but can continue to slay demons and earn alluring gear.
- The Legendary Item drop rate has been altered to reflect the drop rate that will be present in the launch version of Diablo IV.
- The version of Diablo IV available during Server Slam will include all the bug fixes and updates
Moreover, with Server Slam be ready to face the wrath of Ashava. Ashava is one of the foulest creatures to walk in Hell and you’ll have to prove your mettle against it. As you’ll be restricted to level 20 in beta, facing it will be really challenging.

First up you’ll be able to unlock the Cry of Ashava Mount Trophy. This Diablo IV beta will also let you earn the rewards that previous betas offered. For those who have already earned you don’t have to do it again. The rewards will be carried over to the full game when it launches. Diablo IV is set to launch on June 6, 2023.
