EA has recently announced that they will be releasing UFC 5. Their premier MMA fighting series based on the Ultimate Fighting Championship had last seen a release with UFC 4 back in 2020. The company revealed the upcoming game via a teaser on Twitter as well as announcing a full reveal in September.

EA Sports UFC 5 Coming Soon

UFC 5 would be the fifth game in EA’s premier fighting series, as denoted by the name. After buying the license of the series from THQ, the developer/publisher’s first release in the series was UFC in 2014, followed by UFC 2 in 2016, UFC 3 in 2018, and the most recent, UFC 4 in 2020. The game was originally planned for late 2022, as reported by VGC. During that time, the focus on the game caused the production to be stopped on the Fight Night boxing game series.

As the full reveal is in September, we don’t know much about how the game is going to be. It can be assumed that the game will be released on current-gen consoles only. EA has launched a page where players can sign up for updates and news about the game.
