The Iron Man game was officially announced just about a month back. EA’s Motive is the studio behind the game. While we weren’t expecting new information any time soon, it seems the playtest for the game has already started.

Iron Man Game has Started Playtesting

Insider Gaming has revealed that Motive’s Iron Man game is already playtesting. It seems the development is going really well as the developers confirmed it was in the early development stage when it was announced. The official playtests begin on October 31st and will continue till November 2, 2022. This will be 1-on-1 testing in one of EA’s studios.

The playtesting according to the source will be kind of like feedback and session. There will be discussions about the possible storylines, game mechanics, and other development-related concerns.

What is 1-on-1 Playtesting?

EA states the details of 1-on-1 playtesting on their website:

'Get an inside look at a game/product and talk through your experience directly with an EA Researcher. They will ask you questions about your experiences, preferences, and other areas of interest. These conversations typically last between 30 and 120 minutes, and may happen online or in person at one of our Player Experience Labs.'

Despite the playtests happening, it is safe to assume that the game is far from ready. Therefore expecting it to release soon doesn’t make much sense. One thing is for sure though, if EA is indeed conducting playtests right now it means that the title has been in production for quite some time now.

What We Know about the Game

We don’t know much about the Iron Man game except that it’s an action-adventure game being developed by Motive. Motive is working closely with Marvel to make the game live up to the expectations. Iron Man is indeed one of the most iconic Marvel characters ever and deserves a great game to match the legacy.

Motive’s executive producer stated:

'It’s an honor and privilege to have the opportunity to make a video game based on one of the most iconic Super Heroes in entertainment today. We have a great opportunity to create a new and unique story that we can call our own. Marvel is encouraging us to create something fresh. We have a lot of freedom, which is so engaging for the team.'

We are really looking forward to more information about the game and hope Motive does wonders with the title. Till then stay tuned for more on the game in the future.
