Codemasters and EA have officially announced F1 2022 and set a release date of July 1 this year. This year’s F1 game is the first to be released under the EA banner officially. The company acquired Codemasters in February 2021 for a sum total of $1.2 Billion. Generally, Codemasters F1 games go by the ‘F1 20XX’ format but this is the first time it has gone with the ‘XX’ format present in all the EA Sports games.
