With every EA Sports FIFA game, we get new improved (and sometimes not so much improved) cards to build out our FIFA Ultimate Teams. So, as a seasoned player, I took it upon myself to create a kind of series for WhatIfGaming of the best teams you can build up in each league. And today, we will be talking about the Serie A.
There are tons of great players in the Serie A, and although it is not the most popular league to go for when building up your FUT team anymore because of Ronaldo leaving Juventus and the fact that most players are trying to build teams around Cristiano Ronaldo, Leo Messi, and Robert Lewandowski doesn’t bode well for it, there are still a ton of usable cards from this league.
I need to be honest with you. Building the Premier League-themed team was so much easier than this one, but I had a lot of fun playing with this Serie A FUT team.
Best Budget FUT 22 Serie A team 50K
So, without further ado, let’s build the best budget Serie A team.
As always, I decided to go with the 50K coins of starting budget because it’s not that hard to collect, and you can include a great mix of players that are in this price point. But, do keep in mind that the prices may fluctuate, and in order to make sure you are meeting the budget, you can go over on FUTBIN’s website, where I check my prices.Â

Goalkeepers
Spending big on keepers isn’t my style. So, basically, what I would recommend everyone is to choose the best keeper for the least money. Generally, for even the strongest teams I build, I decided to go with 85 rated goalkeeper tops because the jump in quality from 80 to 85 is a big one, and from 85 onwards, you can’t see such a difference. I tend to spend the least coins I can on a keeper, and when they make a grave mistake and concede a stupid goal, I don’t feel like a complete idiot for spending 50K plus on a keeper who concedes stupid goals.
Anyways, I waffle too much. So let’s go through to the actual picks.
GK MikeMaignan is a great keeper for even the most expensive teams, in my opinion. Still, once you dip your toes into more expensive teams, you’ll have much more coins to spare for keepers. Then you can upgrade to a Wojciech Szczesny or a Samir Handanovic. So, for now, you won’t be spending more than 2.9K coins on your keeper.
GK Rui Patricio is another great shout for your goalkeeper spot. However, it will only set you back 750 coins. The performance is actually quite good for an 82 rated card.
Defenders
RB Juan Cuadrado, with 90 pace and 87 dribbling, is a great attacking option who’ll be able to take on every opponent you come across. Not that he’ll have to with the speed he has! Cuadrado will cost you 4.5K coins.
RB Denzel Dumfries is a great option if you’re looking to go to a more physical approach along the line. He can offer some improvement in the defending capabilities with a pinch of physicality. This card will cost you 800 coins.
CB SimonKjaer is an AC Milan central back who can offer a lot of strength and physicality in your defense. Although the pace isn’t his strong suit, he can surely run with his 71 sprint speed.
CB Kostas Manolas, that’s why you have Manolas in your Team. He’ll cover Kjaer’s speed while Kjaer gets the ball out of the back. 81 pace and physicality and 85 defending make Manolas a great player to run your backline in front of Maignan. He’ll only cost you 1.2K coins, and he is an 83 rated card.
CB Matthijs De Ligt is a great 85 rated card to own. And with his 84 defending and 87 physicality, he’ll make sure no one gets past him in your backline. You’ll need to say goodbye to 6K coins to get De Light.
CB Leonardo Bonucci is great for a second defender because of his amazing defensive stats. He’s got great awareness, standing tackles, and interceptions, and his sliding tackles and heading accuracy aren’t that bad at all! One downside to this card is that his stamina is low, and you’ll have to have a substitution ready for him. This card will set you back 6K coins of your FIFA coins wallet.
LB Alex Sandro, yeah, yeah, I know what you’re thinking! A whole Juve backline, well, they do have an amazing backline, and Chiellini is still missing from this squad. But Alex Sandro will be the last piece of your defense, and with a well-rounded card like his, you don’t need anything special.
LB Leonardo Spinazzola is great if you’re looking for a pacier option. He’s great going forward and isn’t lacking at all in his defensive stats. You can’t be asking for anything more for the 1200 coins you’ll be paying for Spinazzola.
Midfielders
CM Sergej Milinkovic-Savic basically has the same card from last season, barring some changes like his 1 point pace and physicality decrease and 2 points dribbling increase. It was a good starting card last year, and the same can be said this year. Unlike last year though, you can get this card for 6.7K coins.
CM Nicolo Barela is a great dribbler to get into your squad, and if you’re creating from the middle, then you can take this amazing card into consideration. I’ve been seeing this card in every second game I play in FUT champs. And for only 2.8K coins, you’re getting an amazing card.
CM Marcelo Brozovic is a great card to connect your backline with your front line. This card is going to set you back 2.9K coins.
CM Franck Kessie is a physical central defensive midfielder who’s amazing at breaking up your opponent’s attacks. With his 87 physicality and 82 defending, there’s little that your opponents will be able to do against this card. It will cost you 4K to acquire Kessie.
CM Luis Alberto, if your game is passing, this card excels at that. Alongside the whopping 87 passing, you also get 85 points dribbling. So not only can you use Alberto to pass out of the back, you can do solo plays as well. And the best part is that his card only costs 2.6K coins.
CM Arthur Melo is another card great for passing and solo plays. With Arthur’s card, you get 84 passing and 88 dribbling which are great stats. You’ll only need to pay 850 coins for this card.

Attackers
RW Hirving Lozano’s gold card is a right wing with 93 pace. As you already probably know, FIFA 22 is all about pace and getting behind the opponent’s defense, and Lozano will help you with that immensely. His regular card will cost you 800 coinsm and he was a great addition to my budget FUT serie A team.
RW Federico Chiesa is another pacey right wing with 91 pace. But, unlike Lozano with Chiesa, you also get 81 shooting and 85 dribbling, so it’s a better-rounded card. That’s why this will set you back 1.4K coins.
ST Ciro Immobile will be the most expensive player in your team at 17.5K coins. For these coins you get a great finisher with 86 pace and 87 shooting.
ST Dries Mertens is a great cheap option for Ciro Immobile. For 2.7K coins, you’re getting 85 pace, 87 shooting, 79 passing, and 88 dribbling. This is a great card if you’re trying out solo plays and don’t believe in passing around to create space…
LW Hirving Lozano (TOTW) makes anotherappearance. This time on the left wing. His team of the week card gets a 3 point upgrade from his gold card. So for 11.5K coins, you’ll be getting 1 point in pace, 5 points in passing and physicality, 4 points in shooting, and 3 points in defending and dribbling.
LW Ante Rebic gets a well-rounded card this season. You get a great left wing with great shooting ability, as well as passing and pace. Additionally, this card only costs 750 coins.
