Forspoken hasn’t been the most popular of the games launched this year. The game debuted back in January and was criticized a lot for its mediocre story and average gameplay elements. However, despite the issues, the game could be fun when doing parkour and using the magic system. Now, Luminous Productions has announced a Forspoken DLC is coming out in May.
Forspoken: In Tanta We Trust DLC Will Act As a Prequel
Forspoken: In Tanta We Trust was revealed even before the initial expected launch of the game. However, that of course got delayed with the title itself. Luminous has now revealed that the Forspoken DLC will release on May 26, 2023, and will discover Athia’s past.
The Tantas and History of Athia were easily one of the highlights of the base game even with its flaws. So, it is really good to see that being adapted as the DLC. According to the information we have on the expansion so far, it’s going to be a prequel to the main story.
Following the ending of Forspoken, as protagonist Frey Holland is seeking to eradicate the Break phenomenon that continues to wreak havoc across the land of Athia, an unknown voice guides her to an area that transports her to the infamous Purge of the Rheddig, which is the event that caused the Tantas to lose control of themselves. Frey will team up with Tanta Cinta and wield new abilities to save Athia and perhaps even herself in the process.
Forspoken couldn’t live up to the expectation but we hope that its DLC can capitalize on the good parts of the game and add to them. Forsopken: In Tanta We Trust launches on PlayStation 5 and PC on the same date.
