God of War Ragnarok

God of War: Ragnarok is just around the corner. It is probably the most-awaited game of the entire year. While we don’t have much information regarding the story length and game file size, a recent leak might have revealed the actual size of the PlayStation 4.

God of War: Ragnarok File Size on PS4

PlayStation Game Size on Twitter which has previously revealed the legit game sizes before has revealed GoW Ragnarok’s file size for the PS4.

The user wrote that Sony had patched his size finding technique earlier this year, so he could not confirm the exact size. However, the God of War: Ragnarok has page updated, displaying the overall size of the game to be 90.6 GB on the PlayStation 4.

The size isn’t confirmed because that is just a possibility as his size finder was patched. But according to this we get a good estimate as to how much space we should keep when we download the game. PlaystationSize also tweeted that the PKG size isn’t always correct so there could be a change. And the size would be without any updates.

Moreover, some game sizes vary according to the region which was the case with Horizon: Forbidden West. Considering the Horizon sequel was also in the 90 GBs range GoW: Ragnarok could follow suit. Also, for the PlayStation 5, the size could be smaller. PS5 uses Sony’s Kraken compressor technology which can reportedly shrink the sizes of the games by 60%. This is a neat move considering SSDs are generally more expensive than HDDs.
