God of War Ragnarok is just around the corner and the hype is unreal. Almost every other modern game these days has some sort of photo mode integrated into it. Similarly, God of War Ragnarok will also have a photo mode but it will be added to the game after the launch.
God of War Ragnarok Photo Mode
The Fourth Focus uploaded an early preview of the game stating the lack of photo mode for now to which the developers replied. Santa Monica Studios have revealed that GoW Ragnarok will indeed come with photo mode. But it won’t be available at the launch rather it will be added post-launch.
For now, there is no indication as to when it will be added. The studio has stated that it will release details on it when it will be ready to drop. If we are being honest that’s not a big deal at all. You don’t really focus on these things when going through the first gameplay. In fact, we prefer to beat the game and then delve into beauty during the next play-through.
Also, there’s the fact that you can take screenshots directly from the PlayStation if you want to do so at launch. Although screenshots don’t add that level of customization as the in-game photo mode still there is something nonetheless. Dedicated photo mode lets you change a ton of stuff like character facial expressions, adding filters and changing backgrounds, etc.
The original God of War on the PlayStation 4 didn’t have a photo mode at launch either it was later added via an update. Santa Monica seems to be taking a similar route with their new entry as well.
God of War Ragnarok is undoubtedly this year’s most anticipated and biggest title to launch. It comes out next month on November 9, 2022. It can be currently pre-ordered on the PlayStation 4 and 5. Also, to give you a heads-up, spoilers are surfacing online so watch out for them.
