Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment’s Gotham Knights is set to release later this month. The game takes place post-Batman’s death which leads to Batgirl, Nightwing, Red Hood, and Robin teaming up to protect Gotham. Ahead of the release, a new mode has been announced that includes a free 4-player co-op for Gotham Knights.

In a recent Tweet, it was announced that a new experience called Heroic Assault would soon be coming to the game. The mode will be free for all platforms and feature a 4-player co-op. It will be separate from the main storyline.

The official Gotham Knights FAQ page gives us further insight into the game:

'Heroic Assault is an upcoming gameplay mode that is separate from the main story campaign. The standalone mode supports up to four players in online co-op and provides a dedicated arena-like environment with specific objectives to complete and enemies to defeat on each floor (30 floors total).'

The mode will be available as an update for the owners of Gotham Knights and will be out on November 29, 2022.

This mode is not to be mixed with the already present co-op mode already present in the full game. That will be a 2-player co-op and will be a part of the main storyline. However, this new mode will be a completely separate thing. We already saw from the trailer that some of the game’s characters don’t play well with each other, so would be really fun seeing Red Hood hang out with Nightwing and others in the new mode.

There are multiple versions of Gotham Knights you can download including a Deluxe version and a Collectors Edition. These will include additional skins, emotes, and other stuff. You can read more about it here. Gotham Knights is currently on pre-order at $60 for PC and $70 for the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S versions of the game.
