Killer Instinct was one of the most popular fighting titles from the 90s. The legendary franchise was first introduced in 1994, and the last release came in 2013, exactly 10 years ago. Now to celebrate the 10th anniversary, the developers have announced that Killer Instinct is getting a free update that will focus on multiple visual and gameplay aspects.
Killer Instinct is Getting Improvements After 10 Years of Launch
Iron Galaxy is back working on the popular fighting game, and they’re bringing some major improvements. Announcing in a Tweet, they’ve revealed that the new free 10-year update will include a balance update, improved matchmaking, and 4K support for Series X|S.
They’ve also stated that more information is coming out soon as well. This is going to be brilliant news for the fans of the franchise. It also has a nostalgic factor attached to it. Killer Instinct had no major release for the last 10 years and so it got lost amongst the world invaded by Tekken, Mortal Kombat, and Street Fighter. But, it’s now back, and it’s getting the next-gen treatment.
The title features some very memorable fighters and combat moves that make it very unique. And this point we’d even like Iron Galaxy to work on a brand new game in the franchise as well. Or maybe that’s already in development and we don’t know yet? But let’s wait and watch what the future holds for the title.
