Reports about LEGO 2K Drive had been surfacing for the last few days. Previously, it was claimed that the game is undergoing a closed beta and now it has been officially revealed. 2K has announced (via IGN) that the ‘AAA driving adventure game’ will be coming out in May 2023. A few additional details have also been revealed.
LEGO 2K Drive Will be A ‘AAA Open World’ Game
LEGO 2K Drive is launching on every major platform including PlayStation 4, 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and S, PC, and Nintendo Switch. It will launch on all platforms on May 19, 2023, and is a collaboration between 2K and the LEGO group. The title will feature both single-player and multiplayer co-op modes.
LEGO 2K Drive will feature over 1000 LEGO bricks that you’ll be able to build and customize your own vehicle. There will also be playable cars from LEGO City, Creator, Speed Champions, and even the McLaren Solus GT and F1 LM. The robust co-op will let you play alongside up to 6 players. Along with online multiplayer, there will also be split-screen multiplayer.
Multiple Editions of The Title Will Be Available
There will be 3 different Editions of the title. The Standard Edition is priced at a whopping $69.99 on PS5 and Xbox Series and $59.99 on the remaining platforms. There will be a $99.99 Awesome Edition with a new vehicle, vehicle flair, in-game Minifigure, and the Year 1 Drive Pass. The last is the Awesome Rivals Edition priced at $119.99 which includes multiple vehicles, a vehicle flair, multiple in-game mini-figures, and the Year 1 Drive Pass. Players will also get pre-order bonuses when they pre-order the Standard Edition.
