SEGA and RGG Studios have dropped a brand-new story trailer for the upcoming Like a Dragon: Ishin! Remake. The action-adventure title is a spin-off to Yakuza games and follows similar gameplay. The story trailer explains the game’s story with some nostalgic parts from the 2014’s original game.

The story trailer for Like a Dragon: Ishin! unveils the plot of the game. According to the description:

A treacherous road awaits Sakamoto Ryoma. Framed for the murder of his mentor and unable to distinguish friend from foe, this solemn samurai’s fight for justice challenges the course of Japan’s history.

The protagonist Sakamoto Ryoma will have to fight his way through as he is framed for the death of his mentor and fatherly figure, Yoshida Toyo. You embark on a journey as Ryoma trying to find out who killed your mentor while the future of Tosa rests with you. The only thing you know about the killer is his sword-fighting style as you set on a journey to avenge your dead mentor.

The trailer features a look at some of the most iconic scenes from the original title including the fan-favorite bathhouse fight. The remade look at Like a Dragon: Ishin! hits the fans of the genre with real nostalgia for how good it looks. The expectations from the game are really high as its set is all set to release on February 21, 2023.
