Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle was a great mix of strategy and warfare that copied fighting from the X-COM game series. The game was a massive hit amongst children and adults due to its great gameplay and graphics. So, naturally when Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope got announced everyone was hyped.
The original trailer for the game dropped last year. With everyone anticipating the game, Ubisoft Forward brought a brand new gameplay trailer along with some DLC announcements.
Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope Gameplay Trailer
At Ubisoft’s Forward presentation, a fresh in-depth look at the game introduced one of the game’s new areas and more challenging RPG components. The gameplay also shows of the Waggler boss battle.
Mario, Luigi, and a Rosalina Rabbid explore the world Terra Flora at the beginning of the game. They look for hidden passageways and work out puzzles to reveal mysteries. Later, the gang fights through a conflict while riding a massive golden Wiggler train that is equipped with a wealth of new skills.
The game seems to put an enhanced focus on characters and exploration rather than just going everywhere without any purpose. In addition, Ubisoft said that the game would have at least three DLC packs as part of a Season Pass when it goes on sale. Rayman was confirmed to be a playable character when the third one ultimately releases. However, except for that, we have no clue as to what other characters will be and when will it come out.
More About the Game
Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope initially started to leak in 2021. The follow-up promised to transport first-game fans into space. Those would see Mario and company go on a planet-hopping journey to save their Spark buddies with the help of their Rabbid impersonators.
The first game opened to great success on the Switch. And if the new entry is anything alike we are sure it will be treated similarly. It even has the potential to be Nintendo’s heavy hitter for this year. Ubisoft’s Creative Director Davide Soliani in an interview stated:
'We changed exploration, we changed the combat system, we added a big mechanics in the sparks, we added RPGs elements...we changed so many things that it was quite the effort for everyone.'
Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope is set to launch on October 20. It is already available for pre-order at the Nintendo Official site.
