We have all been waiting for this one, haven’t we? After what seems like years of waiting Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 gameplay is finally here. And boy was it worth every second of the wait. Insomniac Games announced the sequel to the original Spider-Man game with a reveal trailer at the PS Showcase in 2021. Ever since then, we’ve been looking forward to the gameplay and now we can feast our eyes on it.

Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 Gameplay is Truly Thrilling

Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 gameplay if we try to manage that in one word is epic. The trailer opens with our very first look at the game’s version of Kraven the Hunter. We only got a little tease of him in the earlier trailer in the form of a voiceover. And the biggest surprise came in the form of Peter Parker’s Spider-Man, who now has a symbiote attached to him. You can watch the trailer below:

Yesterday Miles’ voice actor teased that there will be symbiotes everywhere in the game and that seems true now. The symbiote gives Peter the amount of power he never had before. The trailer cuts into Kraven’s goons trying to find the Lizard when they encounter the symbiote Spider-Man.

The new skillset helps Peter to be faster than ever in combat with some sick symbiote-related perks. The title lets you switch between Peter and Miles based on the events. However, we don’t know if it’ll let you do that at any time when free roaming. Miles also boasts an upgraded skillset and has become even more powerful.

There are some truly stunning sequences and transitions that switch between the Spider-Men as they chase down the Lizard and fight against Kraven’s goons. Additionally, the game has more locations in Queens. The Lizard chase sequence is really the pinnacle of superhero games and we haven’t even seen the full game yet.

Just like the previous titles, there seem to be multiple villains. The Lizard, Kraven, and Venom are those that we already know of. Moreover, toward the end of the trailer, we also get a hint that Peter might fall under the influence of the symbiote.

Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 gameplay has given fans exactly what we wanted and the hype is now unreal. The game drops on PlayStation 5 in Fall 2023. Unfortunately, we still don’t have a solid release date.
