The listing for Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 has recently been spotted in the PlayStation Store by some users. They have reported that the UK version of the store had the listing of the game. Although other than the option to wishlist, there is nothing else to do in the listing. But, this could mean we might get another glimpse of the gameplay of the sequel to Insomniac’s critically acclaimed game featuring the iconic Marvel hero.
Many users are reporting that the listing page is missing which could mean that it was published unintentionally. The dark theme of the listing could indicate that the game is going for a harsher and darker tone than its predecessor.
Marvel’s Spider-Man 2: New Trailer Soon?
The sequel to Marvel’s Spider-Man was first revealed during the PlayStation showcase in 2021 as a PS5 exclusive and a 2023 release. While it is set for a 2023 release, many are assuming that Sony will release a new trailer for the game as it’s been a while since the last one. There are many possible explanations as to why. The trailer for the film Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse is set for December 13. Sony might want to release a teaser for the game to hype up both.
Moreover, another possible explanation is through Insomniac Games’ Community Director James Stevenson’s tweet. Stevenson posted a short GIF showing both Peter Parker and Miles Morales.
With this cryptic tweet as well as the PS Store listing, we might be in for some announcement for the game. At this point, pre-orders are unlikely to go live since it is estimated that Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 will release towards the latter half of 2023. So, the best bet here is another teaser showcasing the gameplay or story. Or, we could get an announcement of the release date too.
Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 will feature both Peter Parker and Miles Morales. The game will feature both Spider-Men as protagonists as they will face Venom. It is unknown who the other villains are in the game.
