Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection was announced at the PlayStation Showcase in May. The collection brings back upscaled versions of the original trilogy and more. Although, no platform except PlayStation was announced back then, Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Volume 1 is releasing for the Nintendo Switch as well.

Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Includes Upscaled Versions of the Originals on the Nintendo Switch

Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection is a great way to get to know the series. Metal Gear Solid 3 is being remade, therefore now will be a fantastic time to either revisit or play the franchise for the first time. The following titles will be included in the collection:

  • Metal Gear
  • Metal Gear 2 Solid Snake
  • Metal Gear Solid
  • Metal Gear Solid 2 Sons of Liberty
  • Metal Gear Solid 3 Snake Eater

It includes some extra content as well, namely Snake’s Revenge, a screenplay book containing in-game text of each title, and a master book detailing the story and characters. Additionally, the pre-order bonus will include newly recorded classic soundtracks. They will be available to download at the time of launch.
