Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak was an expansion to the original base game launched in 2021. Originally launched for The Switch, Monster Hunter Rise earlier this year made its way onto PlayStation and Xbox consoles. And now, Capcom has finally revealed the release for the expansion that launched in 2022.
Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak Coming to PlayStation and Xbox Soon
Today’s Capcom Spotlight revealed the release date for the massive Monster Hunter Rise Expansion called Sunbreak launched back in 2022. Ever since the base game dropped for consoles, fans had been inquiring about the expansion, and now it’s finally almost here. However, just like most other big expansions, you’ll be needing the base game to install the expansion.
Monster Hunter Rise has continuously added content since its launch in the form of different updates. The latest update termed ‘Title Update 5’ is also set to release next month. And now, with the expansion also coming next month, both updates may coincide making it an exceptional time, especially for MH console players.
Monster Hunter Rise although received a great review from us, the expansion Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak has received mixed reviews on Steam. It will be interesting to see how the expansion port plays out once it releases. However, it does offer a ton of new content including new adventures and returning foes. The expansion will be available for all the platforms that the base game is on.
