MultiVersus has been a constant part of the news since it came out on July 19, 2022. While the game is still in the open beta phase, the response from the fans has been overwhelming. It features much-loved characters from different Warner Bros. universes including DC, Looney Tunes, Scooby-doo, and much more.
MultiVersus season 1 was initially planned to launch on August 9 but due to some complications, it was pushed to a later date. However, in a Tweet today, the release date of MultiVersus has been confirmed and it is all set to launch on August 15.
It was also announced previously that Morty from Rick and Morty will be joining the already star-studded roster of Multiversus. Morty will join the list a week after the launch of Season 1. It has also been revealed that not all the content included in season 1 will drop on the first day. Instead, the new modes and content will be released gradually for the players to always have something to look forward to.
More Details on Season 1
A few details about MultiVersus Season 1 were revealed at EVO 2022. Although it did not include that much a snippet showed us the stuff we can expect in season 1. While there might not be many costumes for characters right now, they are expected to drop in season 1.
Moreover, new modes are being added in-game as well. There will be a classic arcade mode which as the name suggests might focus more on the old-school arcade-like matches. There will also be a ranked mode included. New banners and icons will also be introduced in the first season.
MultiVersus season 1 will also bring an updated Battle Pass that will help you increase your character tier even more. It will reportedly offer 50 tiers and cost about $9.99 or 950 Gleamium in-game.
It will be really interesting to see how the game performs when season 1 finally drops. There has been a widely occurring ‘You are disconnected’ bug in the game. It often shows up when you are either joining a game or creating a match.
As for the duration of season 1, there has been no information. So you’ll have to grind your way to achieve all the 50 tiers and max out your Battle pass. We really hope season 1 delivers all the hype and removes all of the known bugs.
